Our History
​
The Howard University Alumni Club of Prince George’s County, Maryland, was founded in August 1999. It was reorganized in 2005 as a constituent unit of the Howard University Alumni Association (HUAA), which is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
Our Mission
The mission is to increase value and enrich the Howard University and Prince George’s communities we serve by creating programmatic and financial success. We will promote and maintain alumni interest in supporting Howard University as an institution of academic excellence, and create and maintain an environment that encourages alumni participation in Prince George’s County, Maryland, through volunteerism, service, and financial support for the University and the Prince George’s County community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build an alumni club recognized for its commitment to improving the quality of life in our community. We aim to provide superior services, deliver outstanding programs, embrace fundraising and service innovations. We seek to serve Howard University andhe Prince George's County community exceptionally, and support a knowledgeable, skilled, and caring alum base.
